INSTALL CREW - Intermediate experience

Reporting to the installation foreman and project manager, this position will be instrumental in supporting project build workflows, installing hardscape and softscape elements, from groundbreaking through tying up punch-list type loose ends. This is an intermediate position for individuals eager to continue to hone their skills in delivering high quality residential and commercial landscapes in Northern Colorado. This is a seasonal, hourly position; hours/work available is expected to be full time (32-40 hours a week, with occasional days off between projects) now through October.

Minimum skills/experience:

  • Minimum (2-4) years landscaping experience.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Reliable transportation (Based in Fort Collins, most of our work is in Northern Colorado, but we do have occasional clients along the Front Range).

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage tasks.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

  • Superior work ethic and dependability.

  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, as well as individually.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs. many times a day.

  • Ability to be on your feet, working outdoors, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Preferred skills/experience:

  • Hardscape/softscape installation; placing boulders, building paver patios, working with flagstone, amending soil, sod removal, planting, mulching, etc.

  • Knowledge of Colorado plants and/or ecological gardening.

  • Knowledge of landscape irrigation.

  • Passion for learning and education through using your hands.

  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and the environment. 

Typical job responsibilities:

  • Time tracking and task tracking on site through app based system

  • Clear and proactive, nonviolent communication

  • Demanding physical work in most weather conditions

  • Support all phases of install per the direction of the crew lead and foreman

  • Support installation work flows, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team

  • Adhere to project timelines and install standards

  • Construction of hardscape, softscape, irrigation, light carpentry, grading and drainage

  • Help keep the work site and tool trailer tidy, ensuring all tools and materials are in their proper places at the end of each day

  • Perform garden maintenance including weeding, pruning of shrubs and perennials, dead heading, debris clean up
